1 - Become a Member
The first step to purchasing online at bikes.com.au is to become a member. To do this click the Members Box on the left hand side of your screen under the Shopping Box. This will give you the option of becoming a new member or to log in as an existing member. If you are an existing member, fill out the form as demonstrated in the screenshot below.
If you are a new customer, fill out the form on the right hand side of the page like can be seen on an example below.
Note: By joining our newsletter, you can receive news about our store, special offers we have available to our members and much more. Please note that we do not spam, and your e-mail address and personal details are kept confidential.
2 - Select Products
You can now browse to our products. Please do not forget to select any product options, such as Quantity, Sizes, Colours, etc. and click “Add”. This will add the product to your cart.
3 - Checkout
After you have added all your desired products to your shopping cart, click on the “Checkout” button on your top right hand corner.
4 - Fill out Address
Now, you need to fill out your Billing Address and Shipping Address if they are different. Otherwise, you may select Ship To: Billing Address.
After that, click on “Proceed to next step >>” to continue.
5 - Review Shipping & Payment Information
The next stage allows you to review your Shipping & Payment Information and make some changes with your address details & cart content. You can click on the “Edit Address Details” button to edit your address or “Edit Cart Content” button to remove or edit content in your cart.
6 - Choose Shipping Method
The next step is to choose a shipping method. In most circumstances, we are able to send accessory orders with Australia Post. Store Pickup refers to picking your products up from our store in Prahran and is also an option for local customers.
7 - Leave Message
If there was anything else you feel we would need to know about your order, type it in the Message Box.
8 - Select Payment Method
The last step is to choose your payment method. You can select either Direct Bank Deposit or Credit Card. Fill out your details and finally, click on “Proceed >>” button.

9 - Track Your Orders
Your order is now being processed and you can check your order status by visiting "My Account" (Member Administration) page, choosing "Order History" sub menu on the left hand side and then clicking "details" on the right hand side of your order. A new page, showing your order details and your tracking number (if your order has been dispatched), will then appear as can be seen on the pictures below. a) If you selected Credit Card payment, the transaction will not occur straight away. This is because we process credit card details ‘offline’; in our physical store in a credit card machine much the same as those in supermarkets, etc. Processing is done when we have your order entirely ready to send. This is just to make sure that we can get everything you ordered, or in case there were any other issues with the order. Your order status will be shown as ‘Waiting’ until we have processed your details.
b) When Direct Bank Deposit payment is selected you will be shown our bank account details in which you can transfer the total amount of your order into. It often takes a few days for this transaction to occur, and until we have received your payment your order status will be kept at ‘Waiting’.
10 - Shipping and Delivery
So, at this stage all transactions have been completed and we have sent off your order. If you have ordered a bike or larger item, it will be coming by a freight company. If you are not home when the item arrives, you may be left a message to phone a number to get it delivered at a more suitable time.
If you ordered a smaller item, it will be sent by Australia Post and may take a day or 2 to arrive.
11 - Invoice and Receipt
When you open up your order there will be a yellow invoice inside, which will have your payment details attached, to ensure that you have been charged the right amount, and also sent the products that you ordered.
