Road Bikes - 2010 EMC2

At EMC2 our goal is to provide the best ride in the world.

We specialise in bike frame development. For us the ride comes unquestionably from the frame. The materials, tubing profiles, optimum tubing sizes and geometry play a large role in how the bike under you performs and how it handles. The design of the frame is instrumental in it's stability at speed and how it transfers power to the back wheel.

Selecting components is the easy part, Shimano, FSA, Zipp, Fulcrum, Mavic, Cole, Selle Italia, Prologo, Continental and Vittoria are constantly designing, developing and producing the worlds best bicycle components in their respective fields.

During my years in the long, arduous European racing seasons, I competed for wins in a wide range of races from the furious 'one day' classics to the Grand Tour including the greatest race of all - the Tour de France. Competing in this incredible event four times and riding a variety of the worlds most famous and respected bike brands has also increased my deep passion that I have today about what makes a great bike perform exceptionally well.

Climbing through the French Alps, up and down the mighty cols, contesting and winning bunch sprints against the best sprinters in the world all helped to increase my knowledge of bikes.

Bike handling skills and high speeds are essential in the world of professional cycling. These are also the two key ingredients in understanding how to increase a frames performance. Racing puts you at the edge, and if you've never been at the limit, how can you possibly know the boundaries. Just as importantly you can't design a high performing bike without having been in this position.

That's why, when you ride an EMC2, it's always about the ride.
